As our students head back to school tomorrow, it’s important to keep safety at the forefront. Here are some tips to help ensure everyone has a safe and successful school year:
1. **Watch for School Zones:** Please be mindful of reduced speed limits in school zones. Keep an eye out for crossing guards and students walking or biking to school.
2. **Stop for School Buses:** Always stop when school buses are loading or unloading children. It’s the law, and it’s vital for student safety.
3. **Drive Distraction-Free:** Put down your phone and focus on the road, especially during school hours when kids are most likely to be around.
4. **Walk and Bike Safely:** Parents, please remind your kids to use crosswalks, wear helmets when biking, and stay aware of their surroundings.
5. **Talk to Your Kids About Stranger Safety:** Make sure your children know never to talk to strangers or accept rides from anyone without your permission.
Keeping Our Schools Safe

There’s a change to the School Resource Officer (SRO) program this year! Cache Public Schools has decided to partner with the Comanche County Sheriff’s Office to place an SRO in our school for the 2025–2026 school year.
We hope everyone has a great and safe first day of school to help enhance safety, Cache Police will be conducting high visibility patrols through the school zones. Let’s work together to make this school year safe and successful for everyone in our community!
