Cache Blessing Box
There will be a Dedication Ceremony for the Cache Blessing Box on Monday, July 13th, 2020 at 6:30pm. Please feel free to join us on this date in front of the Cache City Hall, where the box will be permanently located. We hope to see you there!
The Cache Blessing Box is a Community Cabinet that has non-perishable food items along with toiletries and baby items for anyone that needs them, free of charge. The motto is: “Take what you need and leave what you can”. The Blessing Box idea was formed when citizens of the Community took notice to other small towns and communities setting up their own boxes. We knew that this would be a wonderful thing for our own Community!
With the idea, Joe Chesko approached Barbara Parker, with the Cache Lions Club. During this conversation, the Cache Lions Club graciously agreed to sponsor the Blessing Box! Also, Philip Asher, a fireman with the Ft Sill Fire Department, agreed to construct the box at no cost. Blessings all around! The Blessing Box is currently under construction, however, if you have any donations they are appreciated. All donations can be dropped off at the Cache Fire Department or the Cache City Hall.
Please remember only non-perishable food items and be mindful to check expiration dates.
Monetary donations can also be mailed to: 1701 NW Cache Road, Lawton, OK 73507 C/O Joe Chesko
